Meyer Najem is looking for a Virtual Design & Construction Coordinator.
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit Suite, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, SketchUp, and Bluebeam is required
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office is required
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
Meyer Najem utilizes 3D Modeling / BIM / VDC for the following key functions:
- Design Phase:
- Existing conditions modeling
- Cost estimating and quantity survey
- Schedule and phase planning (4D modeling)
- Design review and feedback
- Design standards and Critical Success Factors
- Modular construction initiatives
- Marketing and business development efforts
- Safety planning
- Renderings and customer focused presentation materials
- Document readiness review
- Construction Phase:
- Utility coordination
- MEP systems coordination
- Virtual mock-ups
- Equipment delivery pathways
- Site utilization planning
- Crane and equipment utilization
- Record modeling
- Leadership in the initiatives outlined above
- Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for specific projects for use during preconstruction and construction
- Develop and execute Project Specific BIM plans
- Assist team members with continually evolving customer and project specific needs
- Support operations, estimating, marketing, business development, quality control and safety initiatives
- Leverage software and technology to support estimating and operations
- Assist marketing department in creation of videos
- Support company reality capture program
- Possess understanding of general construction practices and techniques
- Develop and maintain content catalogs and libraries for 3D modeling purposes
- Continuing education in marketplace trends and technology advances
