The primary responsibilities of the Safety Advisor shall be to manage and administer project specific safety activities as outlined within the company safety program. Position Responsibilities

  • Perform random 360 safety management inspections of project sites.    
  • 360 safety observation reporting
  • Dedicated safety representative for various projects. 
  • Attend safety training as provided by the employer
  • Participate in incident investigations
  • Participate in OSHA inspections
  • Facilitate and implement safety pre-planning activities for various projects. 
  • Assist in the problem-solving process to address safety issues at the job site       
  • Representative of the Meyer Najem safety program to prospective clients, customers, employees, and subcontractors. 
  • Collaborative work environments

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least a High School diploma or GED required
  • Five years of construction safety experience
  • Completion of OSHA 510 (30-Hour OSHA Construction Training)
  • Completion of OSHA 500 and 502 preferred
  • Technical understanding of the CFR 1926 and 1910 OSHA standard manuals

Physical Requirements of the job:

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders without assistance
  • Ability to walk for long periods of time unaided
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds without assistance
  • Work in various weather conditions and construction environments
